Kalmont

Arms of KalmontKalmont is in many ways the heartland and the soul of the Empire.  Its features were the greatest inspiration for the establishment of Septempontia from the old Triselene Imperium.  Its capital, Breezewood, in Bedford County, is an oasis for travelers from across the Empire and foreign lands alike.

Kalmont’s name is a reference to its state flower, the mountain laurel, Kalmia latifolia, and to its mountainous terrain.

Home to the Seven Tunnels and the greatest length of the Turnpike, Kalmont has an unusual form of government headed by an Elector, working closely with a Provost elected by the citizens of the state.

Arms

Purpure a saltire argent between four mountain laurels proper.

Meaning: A crossroads among mountain laurels; highways and roads being what Kalmont is best known for.

The “mountain laurel proper” is a Septempontian charge which is conventionally blazoned a rose argent barbed and seeded purpure.
