Birth and Childhood

The Emperor was born in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, on 18 September 1973, the only child of Nancy Knight (later the Duchess of Nautopolis) and James Knight. Breaking with the family's traditional names of Edward, Walter, and James, he was named Shawn Clayton. He was raised in Irwin (now Nautopolis), living with his mother and her parents from the age of seven.

Education

The Emperor graduated with honors from Norwin High School in Nautopolis. The Emperor now attends Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where he is studying the physical sciences with an emphasis on physics. He also earns his living there, as a system administrator and programmer.

Marriage and Family

The Emperor was formerly married; the marriage was dissolved on 7 February 2002. The Emperor has no children. He is presently happily involved in a romantic relationship.

Residence

The Emperor resides in Pittsburgh, the capital city of the Empire, and has done since early 2005. In 2007 he purchased the former residence of the Margravine of Dwakenhäm and her family, the Duke of Houston and the Countess of Allegheny.
