The Empire of Septempontia

The following is a sample commission for an officer of the Imperial Military. The actual document is signed by the Emperor and sealed with the Great Seal.

Commission of Office

Shawn by the grace of God, of Septempontia and of our other Realms and Territories Emperor, Protector of the People and Defender of their Faiths, Lord of the Rivers and Bridges, &c.

to all persons to whom these presents shall come: Greetings

Be it known that we, reposing special trust and confidence in the loyalty and abilities of Alan Cameron Caum alias The Prince of Grønbjerg, do hereby appoint him to the rank of Colonel in the Septempontian Armed Forces, to rank as such from this day.

We hereby charge him to diligently and wisely discharge the duties of his office, and to observe and follow the orders and directions given by his Emperor and other superior officers, in accordance with the laws of the Empire.

And we do strictly charge and require all personnel assigned to his command to render obedience to his lawful and appropriate orders.

Witness our command at our Residence at Nautopolis, the 8th day of March in the year 2004 of the common era.
